Isn’t she special!!

And I came across another article in Times of India today … Rinku  Shekhawat from Delhi scored 94% in her Humanities CBSE Exams.

So what’s so special about Rinku? She’s a blind girl who went after her dreams and proved nothing is impossible!  She’s a National level chess champion, a school topper, an athlete, a green belt in Taekwondo. Phenomenal!! Her teachers worked with her, helped her, provided her with notes in Braille, and books converted to e-text (got to love technology here!)

Here’s the article … Rinku Shekhawat\’s Achievement …

Think about it … what if her parents had decided to abort her because she was female or stopped her from going to school because she is visually impaired?  The world would have lost out on a very very special girl! 😀 As you read the story, you will realise how her parents – especially her father – supported Rinku in her efforts to achieve and succeed beyond even his imagination!
